Vietnam Airlines launches first-ever nonstop Hanoi–Milan route, strengthening ties with Europe

Share

Vietnam Airlines has inaugurated its first nonstop flight between Hanoi and Milan, marking the airline’s ninth direct route to Europe and the first direct air connection between Vietnam and Italy. The route will operate three times a week using Boeing 787 aircraft, with a 12-hour flight time.

The launch was celebrated at Milan Malpensa Airport with Vietnamese Vice President Võ Th? Ánh Xuân and Italian regional officials, highlighting its significance for bilateral relations, tourism, and trade. The new route is expected to support Vietnam’s tourism goals and enhance cultural and economic exchanges between the two nations.

Milan becomes a strategic hub for Vietnam Airlines in Southern Europe, and this expansion aligns with the airline’s aim to attract up to 23 million international visitors to Vietnam by 2025.
