The Airforwarders Association has raised serious concerns over the impact of the ongoing Federal Government shutdown on the nation’s air cargo network.
With air traffic control under pressure and federal aviation staff affected, the association warns of potential delays, disruptions, and rising costs across supply chains.
“The safe and efficient flow of air cargo is not optional — it underpins the economy and supports communities across the United States and around the world,” the statement said.
The group called on policymakers to resolve the political impasse quickly, stressing that freight forwarders rely on a fully resourced aviation infrastructure to keep goods moving reliably for businesses and consumers.
The association will continue to monitor the situation and update its members as the shutdown persists.
