On 15 June, a United Airlines Boeing 757-200 (reg. N26123) suffered a hard landing at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). The aircraft skidded left from the runway and ended in the mud.
The aircraft was flying from Denver as flight UA627, the fuselage and airframe have sustained extensive damage. The 757 carried 166 passengers and 6 crew members. Nobody got injured during the mishap.
For a few hours, no arrivals nor departures were allowed from Newark Airport. The airport is currently operating on a limited capacity.
