On 19 January, a United Airlines Boeing 737-900 (N69816) from Phoenix landed at Chicago O’Hare Airport runway 4R. The aircraft, however, slid off the runway after landing. Emergency services immediately responded to the incident. Passengers disembarked via mobile stairs and were transferred to the terminal building by bus. Shortly after, ground crew starting working to free the aircraft from the runway.

The entire region has been hit be a snow and winds, airlines arriving at Chicago O’Hare are reporting delays of 50 minutes on average, while 650 flights have been cancelled. The airport tweeted the following movie.
