United Airlines to deploy Dreamliner fleet at Chicago with three initial destinations from Summer 2020: Brussels, Frankfurt and Munich

Share

As already mentioned yesterday in our forum, United Airlines announced that it will base some Boeing 787 Dreamliners at its main hub Chicago O’Hare and establish a pilot crew base to support those operations, which are expected to start in March 2020 at the beginning of the Summer season.

The Chicago Dreamliner fleet (mostly Boeing 787–10s and retrofit 787–9s to start) will feature the new Polaris business class seats and Premium Plus premium economy cabin on board and replace older Boeing 777s.

Frankfurt, Brussels and Munich are the initial destinations, according to communications with the pilot union.

The 787-9 fleet has currently different interior configurations – some with Premium Plus and some without – justifying the retrofit that is not necessary with the newer 787-10 aircraft.
