Main right landing gear of a Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800 catches fire

On 19 May, a Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800 (TC-JHZ) was taxiing for departure from Istanbul Airport when suddenly the brakes and tires of the aircraft’s main right landing gear caught fire. Firefighters rushed to the aircraft and extinguished the flames, passengers disembarked safely but the airline was forced to cancel the flight.
