This morning (22 May), a Turkish Airlines Boeing 777 (TC-LJE) was taxiing out Istanbul Airport for domestic flight TK2108 to Ankara Esenboga Airport. During taxi, however, the aircraft hit a light pole seriously damaging the right wing.
M. Serdar Kuzulo?lu (Twitter: @mserdark), one of the passengers said that the aircraft was firmly shaken while the aircraft hit the pole, which completely bended. A push-back truck brought the triple-seven back to a parking position. The airline is now switching aircraft to bring the stranded passengers to Ankara.
