On 31 August, a Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800 (TC-JHM) operated domestic flight TK2307 between Izmir and Istanbul, Turkey. The aircraft carried 147 passengers and 7 crew members. After landing at Istanbul’s newest airport – while taxiing to its parking stand – the aircraft ended up next to the taxiway and got stuck.
Passengers and crew members safely evacuated the aircraft via mobile stairs. An investigation on the mishap is ongoing.
