The German branch of holiday airline TUI fly wants to enter the long-haul market. The airline will start with two Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The plans have been approved by the Supervisory Board, reports “Tourism News“.

The entry into that market is directly related to the Thomas Cook bankruptcy, notwithstanding the fact that the German Thomas Cook airline Condor keeps flying.

Currently, TUI fly Deutschland flies exclusively Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The British, Scandinavian, Dutch and Belgian airlines of the TUI Group are already operating long-haul flights since years.
