TUI fly Belgium will no longer relaunch the Charleroi-Montpellier route abandoned by Ryanair

In January, Aviation24.be announced that TUI fly Belgium would take over the route between Brussels South Charleroi Airport and Montpellier abandoned by Ryanair in the upcoming summer season.

According to our information, TUI fly Belgium has officially given up the idea to reopen the Montpellier-Charleroi route in April. This decision would be linked to the competition of Ryanair at the airports of Béziers Cap d’Agde and Nîmes, both linked to Brussels South Charleroi, which would make it difficult to unprofitable to Montpellier, which is very close to these two airports.

Aviation24.be tried to contact TUI fly Belgium for a comment, but unsuccessfully until now.

Good news however for Montpellier airport: the Russian company Ural Airlines will launch three weekly flights to Moscow, between June 2 and October 25.
