TUI fly Belgium will re-launch two long-haul destinations from Brussels Airport during the upcoming winter aviation season, the airline said Friday. Thanks to the arrival in June of a second Boeing 787 Dreamliner in its fleet (registered OO-LOE and transferred from TUI fly UK, where it was registered G-TUIG), it will indeed link the Belgian capital to Mombasa (Kenya) and Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic).
These two destinations had already been proposed in the past. Given the popularity of distant destinations with Belgian tourists, with a guarantee of warm and sunny weather, they are back in the offering of the company, a subsidiary of German tour operator TUI. Mombasa will be served once a week (on Fridays), and Puerto Plata twice (on Wednesdays and Sundays).
These two new destinations will bring to nine the number of long-haul routes proposed by the company, all departing from Brussels Airport. They thus complete the offer currently available: Punta Cana and Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Cancun (Mexico), Varadero (Cuba), Montego Bay (Jamaica), Miami (USA) and Zanzibar (Tanzania).
The fleet of TUI fly Belgium now has 33 aircraft, with an average age of 7 years.
