TUI fly Belgium expands sustainable fleet with ninth Boeing 737 MAX 8

Share

TUI fly Belgium has taken delivery of its ninth Boeing 737-8, reinforcing its long-term strategy of fleet renewal and sustainability. The aircraft will be based at Brussels and Ostend airports, continuing the systematic replacement of older Boeing 737 NG models with the latest-generation jets.

Since its founding in 2004, TUI fly has prioritised operating a young, environmentally efficient fleet and was the first Belgian airline to consistently lease the newest aircraft types. The introduction of the Boeing 737-8 began in January 2018 with the arrival of the airline’s first aircraft direct from Seattle, marking a milestone for Belgian aviation.

Compared with previous-generation aircraft, the 737-8 delivers up to 20% lower fuel consumption and CO? emissions, while reducing noise by around 40%. With nine aircraft now in service in Belgium and around 50 Boeing 737-8s operated across its international fleets, TUI fly continues to strengthen its position as a modern, environmentally focused airline.
