With nearly 50% of travellers, Spain is still the holiday destination par excellence. In addition, seven out of ten Spain enthusiasts opt for the “eternal spring” of the Canary Islands according to TUI. Nothing but good news for Spain “lovers” travelling from Ostend-Bruges airport.
For the summer season 2020, which starts with the Easter holidays, TUI fly Belgium has a new destination from Ostend: Murcia, Spain, which is flown directly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Murcia, located between Alicante and Malaga, is perhaps less well-known than the 2 big names among the coastal cities, but it has the same assets as the other Spanish Costas. From the brand new, modern airport Murcia-Corvera, you are in less than an hour in Torrevieja, one of the most popular places with Belgians for a vacation home. The route to Murcia proved a success from Antwerp airport. Ostend airport welcomes this newcomer from Saturday 4 April 2019.
Furthermore, good news for during the high season in 2020. In July and August, the flights to Tenerife and Gran Canaria are “direct”, which means a great gain of time. This saves the traveller more than an hour compared to a combined flight. The two most popular Canary Islands are the classic strong destinations for Ostend airport. All flights to these two destinations will be guaranteed next summer without a stopover.
Hereby the TUI summer 2020 offering from Ostend-Bruges Airport;
Bulgaria: Burgas, Varna
Egypt: Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh
Greece: Chania, Corfu, Heraklion, Kos, Rhodes
Spain: Alicante, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Malaga, Mallorca, Murcia, Tenerife
Tunisia: Djerba, Enfidha, Antalya, Bodrum, Eskisehir, Izmir
However, Almeria (Spain) and Faro (Portugal) will no longer be served from Ostend in Summer 2020.
