Flight from Rabat to Charleroi diverts to Brussels Airport; angry passenger arrested

Share

Saturday night a TUI Fly Belgium Boeing 737 registered OO-JAY was scheduled for a flight between Rabat and Charleroi. The pilots of flight TB6386 encountered a technical issue on the flaps, requiring a diversion to the TUI base at Brussels Airport.

Due to the unexpected arrival of the flight, unloading the luggage took longer than expected. Shortly after midnight, an angry passenger jumped over the Aviapartner desk. The airport police were called but the passenger became aggressive after which he was arrested. After cool-down, he was released but with a charge of resisting arrest.
