Share

The first Boeing 737 MAX for TUI has entered commercial service on Monday 5 February 2018, operating flights TB1213/4 BRU-TFS-BRU.

The aircraft, Boeing 737 MAX 8 OO-MAX ‘Tenerife Alegria’ was delivered to TUI Fly Belgium, the Belgian airline of the TUI Group, just few days earlier, on Tuesday 30 January 2018. The aircraft was flown from Boeing Field in Seattle to Brussels Airport without a fuel stop in Iceland (see our full report here).

On the early morning of Monday 5 February 2018, OO-MAX took off from RWY 07R at Brussels Airport. After an uneventful flight the aircraft landed on RWY 07 at Tenerife Sur Airport (TFS) on the island of Tenerife. The flight lasted for 3 hours and 44 minutes.

After unloading its passengers and picking up other passengers for the return flight to Brussels, OO-MAX left TFS again from RWY 07, bound for Brussels Airport as flight TB1214. After another smooth and uneventful flight, OO-MAX landed on RWY 01 at 16:21 UTC.

The Boeing 737 MAX is the latest variant of the Boeing 737, one of the most successful passenger aircraft in the world. It offers the latest technologies to reduce noise footprint and fuel consumption but also increases onboard passenger comfort.
