Spanish carrier Euro Airlines is significantly expanding its charter operations from Brussels and Paris Charles de Gaulle to the Caribbean this winter and spring, with flights continuing until the end of May 2026. This marks a shift from the airline’s initial plans for a limited winter-only schedule.

After TUI fly Belgium announced the end of its long-haul flights from Brussels starting in October, Euro Airlines stepped in to fill the gap. The airline, which doesn’t own aircraft but operates under its own IATA code, originally used an A330 from World2Fly, but has now finalised a new partnership with TUI Belgium to lease a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner for these routes.

New Route Schedule (Operated by TUI fly B787-8):

  • Brussels – Cancún: Weekly on Thursdays, from 23 October to 28 May
  • Brussels – Punta Cana: Weekly on Fridays, from 24 October to 22 May
  • Brussels – Punta Cana via Paris CDG: Weekly on Saturdays, from 4 October to 30 May (Brussels–Paris and Paris–Brussels sectors are bookable as standalone flights, with short layovers in Paris)

The B787 features 25 premium and 280 economy seats.

Broader Ambitions

Euro Airlines is targeting demand not only from Belgium, but also Germany, northern France, and other neighbouring markets, via partnerships with tour operators and travel agencies. Talks are underway to establish interline agreements connecting these flights with destinations in Eurasia and Latin America.

Strategic & Diplomatic Support

The expansion has been welcomed by Dominican Republic officials, who see it as a way to boost tourism and revive pre-pandemic visitor numbers from Belgium. Dominican ambassador to Belgium, Joan Margarita Cedano, called the new direct Brussels–Punta Cana route a major step forward in strengthening cultural and economic ties.

This marks a new phase for Euro Airlines as it tests the viability of long-haul charters from secondary European markets with the flexibility of leasing aircraft and adapting quickly to market needs.
