On 9 May, a TUI fly Belgium Boeing 787 Dreamliner (OO-LOE) operating flight TB161 between Brussels Airport and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic was forced to return to Belgium after a technical issue.
30 minutes into the flight – just before London – the aircraft headed back, not before dumping fuel to lower its landing weight. According to a passenger on the flight, there was an issue with the brakes on the aircraft’s right main landing gear (a sticky brake). As a precaution, emergency services awaited the aircraft. Around 18:00 (UTC +2), the aircraft departed Brussels Airport again for her flight to Punta Cana.
