A Thai Airways Boeing 777-300ER registered HS-TKU, operating flight TG922 bound for Frankfurt, made an emergency landing at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport on Sunday shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue involving the main landing gear cover.
The plane discharged fuel over Samut Sakhon, with residents observing and filming the aircraft circling 3–6 times before it landed safely at 14:12.
The flight had departed at 12:25 and was originally scheduled to land in Frankfurt at 21:00 local time. After maintenance at Bay 120, the aircraft departed again at 15:20, with a revised arrival time of 21:56 in Frankfurt.
