Thai Airways Boeing 777 rejects take off due to an uncontained engine failure

A Thai Airways Boeing 777-300ER suffered an uncontained failure of its left Engine (GE90) while taking off runway 01L at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), Thailand. The aircraft is 7 years old.

The Boeing 777-300ER (HS-TKL) was performing flight TG970 to Zürich, Switzerland and returned to the gate after the incident. None of the 359 people in board was injured.
