TAP Air Portugal has introduced a new weekly flight connecting Terceira Island in the Azores to San Francisco, with the first TP241 flight landing in California on June 3.
Operated by an Airbus A330neo, the Tuesday service is part of TAP’s Lisbon–San Francisco route and includes a stopover in Terceira. The route aims to serve California’s large Azorean community—over 300,000 strong—and promote the islands as a tourist destination in the U.S.
This follows TAP’s recent launches of direct routes from Porto to Boston (four times a week) and Lisbon to Los Angeles (also four times a week).
