TAP Air Portugal has inaugurated a new direct route from Porto to Boston, operating four times weekly (Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays) until October 25. The outbound flight takes approximately 7h35, with return flights lasting 6h40. This marks TAP’s second US destination from Porto, alongside Newark.

The route is operated with Airbus A321LR aircraft, offering 168 seats (including 16 in business class), with round-trip fares starting at €529.

Officials from TAP and ANA Airports celebrated the launch, emphasising its importance for regional mobility, tourism, and economic development. TAP now connects Porto to 17 long-haul destinations weekly, and offers 127 weekly medium-haul flights, enhancing the city’s role as an international aviation hub.

TAP’s North American expansion continues from Lisbon as well, with upcoming new flights to Los Angeles (starting May 16) and San Francisco via Terceira (from June 3).
