TAP Air Portugal has debuted Airbus’ new Airspace cabin on its fleet, starting with an A321neo named António Sérgio, which entered service on the Lisbon–Warsaw route. The airline will receive 20 Airspace-equipped aircraft (10 A320neo, 10 A321neo) by 2029.
Key features of the new cabins
- XL overhead bins with 37% more capacity, fitting up to 8 bags per bin (130 total on the A320neo, 194 on the A321neo).
- Customisable LED lighting for different phases of flight.
- Larger lavatories with Braille signage, improving accessibility for visually impaired passengers.
- USB-A and USB-C ports at all seats.
- Updated interior design with cleaner lines for a modern, spacious feel.
The A321neo with Airspace layout carries 221 passengers (102 in Business/Economy Extra, 119 in Economy). TAP highlights the cabin upgrade as part of its effort to enhance passenger comfort and inclusivity.
