The airline will operate eight weekly flights to Recife in the IATA winter season and ten during the period of peak demand.
TAP is increasing the number of flights it offers to Recife, Brazil. The airline will be operating eight flights a week in the upcoming IATA winter season beginning on 29 October 2017, and the number of weekly flights will increase to ten during peak demand times at Christmas and New Year.
In the upcoming IATA summer season, the airline will also operate 10 weekly flights during the period when passenger traffic is greatest.
The increase in flights reflects a gradual recovery of the Brazilian market, which has picked up again after going through a slump. In August of this year, the number of passengers carried in the Brazilian market was up 7.7% compared to August 2016. The number of passengers TAP carried in the cumulative period from January to August of this year was up 13.2% over the same period last year, with the airline transporting over a million passengers on its routes to Brazil.
