For weeks now, Surinam Airways isn’t able to operate its only Airbus A340 (PZ-TCR) between Amsterdam Schiphol and Paramaribo, Suriname. A recent inspection has identified a problem with the landing gear, that needed an urgent replacement. On 7 January, the aircraft was transferred to Frankfurt Hahn but the aircraft hasn’t returned since.
With the help of ACMI airlines Wamos Air and Privilege Style, the airline is now guaranteeing its long-haul network. PZ-TCR is a 20-year-old ex-Air China aircraft. The airline doesn’t know when its A340 will be back in service.
