Liege Airport has unveiled a new scheduled cargo connection operated by Ukrainian airline Supernova Airlines, linking Liege (LGG) with Ostrava (OSR) four times per week. The route enhances the airport’s role as a major European logistics gateway while extending Supernova Airlines’ footprint across Central Europe.
Supernova Airlines, founded during a period of global disruption, has built its model around operational resilience and adaptable routing. The new LGG–OSR service adds fresh capacity for time-critical shipments, e-commerce parcels and industrial freight, improving access to key distribution corridors between Western, Central and Eastern Europe.
Frederic Brun, Head of Commercial at Liege Airport, said the airline’s choice of LGG “strengthens our position as a key gateway to Central and Eastern Europe,” highlighting the value of reliable cargo flows into regions where air operations can be challenging.
Natalia Holynskaya, Deputy CCO and Head of Sales at Supernova Airlines, described the new route as “an important milestone” for the carrier’s European expansion, citing Liege Airport’s 24/7 cargo operations and robust infrastructure as essential to its growth.
The service underscores both partners’ commitment to bolstering regional supply chain resilience while supporting Liege Airport’s continued development as one of the world’s leading cargo hubs.
