On 30 June, a SpiceJet De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 (VT-SUM) operating domestic flight SG3722 from Bhopal Raja Bhoj Airport to Surat Airport, India ran off the end of the runway on landing during heavy rain at Surat Airport. All 43 on board were safe. The aircraft came to rest in the reinforced overrun area. The undercarriage remained intact.
