On 2 March, the tail of a parked Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 (N493WN) got struck by the wing of a taxiing Boeing 737 (*) from the same airline. The incident occurred at 07:00 (local time) while the aircraft was parked at a gate at terminal A of Newark Airport. Southwest Airlines was forced to cancel flight WN3133 towards Nashville.
“No injuries have been reported and the affected passengers have been rebooked on the next available flight,” the Newark airport authorities said.
