Smartwings is expanding its scheduled network from Prague for the 2026/2027 winter season, adding new direct services to Venice and Bergen as part of a broader European network growth strategy.
The airline will begin operating flights to Venice on 22 October 2026, with four weekly rotations designed to strengthen its presence in the Italian leisure market. A new route to Bergen will follow on 26 October 2026, operating twice weekly and targeting both tourism demand and connectivity to Norway’s fjord region.
According to Smartwings, the new routes are intended to enhance Prague’s connectivity to key European leisure destinations and support demand from both outbound Czech travellers and inbound visitors. The additions form part of a wider winter schedule expansion that also includes new Prague–Lisbon services and increased frequencies to destinations such as Porto, Bilbao and Toulouse.
The airline emphasised that the network growth reflects its long-term strategy of reinforcing Prague as a central hub for short- and medium-haul European travel, particularly to high-demand tourist destinations.
