Smartwings will boost its direct flights between Prague and Malaga, Spain, from 7 to 12 weekly starting October 23, 2025. The new schedule adds morning departures at 06:00, in addition to the existing daily afternoon flights at 17:20. Return flights from Malaga will depart at 10:10. The route will be operated with a Boeing 737 (189 seats).
This expansion supports the growing demand for the popular Andalusian destination. In 2024, over 118,000 passengers flew this route with Smartwings, which reported an 84% average load factor.
Smartwings’ broader 2025 summer schedule includes around 80 destinations from six Czech airports and increases service to locations like Sardinia, the Azores, Madrid, Madeira, Lanzarote, and Tirana. The airline will operate 58 aircraft across its bases in the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary.
