Dark clouds are gathering above the Polish division of Small Planet Airlines, Polish website Business Insider reported this morning (8 October). Mid-September, the German part of the Small Planet group announced a restructuring. Now the Polish part has to reduce its fleet from eight aircraft to two.
Bartosz Czajka, the Small Planet Airlines CEO, said that it was not yet the end of the planned savings. “This week, Small Planet Airlines Poland will reduce its fleet from eight to five, but at the end, they will only keep two aircraft: one registered in Poland and the other aircraft will fly as part of a wet-lease.“
