Skytrans rebrands as SmartLynx Australia to expand ACMI services in Asia-Pacific

Share

Australian airline Skytrans has rebranded as SmartLynx Australia, aligning with its parent company, Avia Solutions Group, and sister airlines in Europe and Thailand. The rebranding marks a strategic shift toward ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) services, supported by a growing fleet that now includes Dash 8-200 and Airbus A319 aircraft.

Acquired in March 2024, Skytrans’ transformation is part of Avia’s broader Asia-Pacific growth strategy, using geographic diversification to balance seasonal demand. SmartLynx Australia will continue its scheduled and charter services, while focusing on expanding its ACMI operations with a fleet projected to grow beyond 13 aircraft by end of 2025.

The rebranding ensures stronger integration with the group’s global resources, while maintaining all existing customer commitments.
