SKY Express has inaugurated a new route connecting Thessaloniki and Düsseldorf, marking a significant expansion into the German market and strengthening Thessaloniki’s international connectivity.
Speaking at the launch event, Gerasimos Skaltsas, SKY Express Chief Commercial Officer, described the new service as “a major strategic step” for the airline’s growth and a key milestone in boosting Makedonia Airport’s global reach.
The Düsseldorf connection is SKY Express’ second direct international route from Thessaloniki, following its Thessaloniki–Larnaca service introduced in 2022. The new flights operate three times weekly, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
