Aircraft leasing company BOC Aviation has signed a lease agreement with Chilean low-cost airline SKY Airline for three Airbus A321XLR aircraft, marking a new partnership between the two companies.
The deal involves a purchase-and-leaseback arrangement, with deliveries scheduled across 2026 and 2027. The aircraft will be powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines and represent the first A321XLRs currently planned for BOC Aviation’s fleet.
For SKY Airline, the addition of these next-generation aircraft supports its strategy to expand its network with more direct and cost-efficient routes, while maintaining a focus on sustainability and fleet modernisation.
The agreement also reflects growing demand for the A321XLR, valued for its long-range capabilities and fuel efficiency, making it a key asset for airlines looking to open new routes and optimise operations.
