Singapore Airlines relaunches Singapore – Brussels route on 25 October 2020

Singapore Airlines will launch a new route from its Singapore Changi Airport hub to Brussels Airport, Belgium as from 25 October 2020.

The airline launches a long-awaited route between Brussels and Singapore on 25 October 2020, to be operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft, 4 times per week, on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from Singapore and on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from Brussels.

Singapore Airlines will codeshare this route with Brussels Airlines.

Singapore Airlines has left Brussels Airport around 17 years ago (in 2003) and has for a long time been expected by business people to come back.

At a ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza Brussels Airport Hotel, Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President for Europe Lee Sek Eng expressed the satisfaction for his airline to come back to the capital of Europe and he provided the main data about the upcoming flights: the Airbus A350-900 will seat 253 passengers: 42 in business class, 24 in premium economy and 187 in economy.

Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport, was proud to welcome Singapore Airlines again and insisted on the multiple possibilities of connections at Singapore to Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand. He also mentioned the environmental characteristics of the A350, a next-generation aircraft developed by Airbus as the most energy-efficient and most silent aircraft of its kind.

The Singapore Airline fleet counts 124 aircraft, not including the 26 aircraft of subsidiary Silk Air and the 48 aircraft of low-cost Scoot.

Singapore Airlines currently serves 136 destinations in 37 countries. Those two figures will increase by one unit with the start of Brussels flights.

Singapore Airlines will be the 64th airline operating scheduled flights from Brussels.
