Silk Way West Airlines has strengthened its fleet renewal strategy by signing a firm order for two additional Airbus A350F freighters, bringing the Azerbaijani cargo carrier’s total commitment to four. The agreement was announced on 19 November 2025 during the Dubai Airshow.
The airline, the largest cargo operator in the Caspian Sea region, sees the A350F as central to its long-term expansion and sustainability goals.
“This order… marks a major milestone in our company’s growth and reflects our confidence in the future of sustainable air freight,” said Wolfgang Meier, President of Silk Way West Airlines. He highlighted how the A350F will enhance efficiency while supporting the airline’s ambition to modernise its fleet and cut emissions.
Airbus also welcomed the repeat order. “The A350F will ensure the airline maintains its leading position in the global air freight market and enables its key role in developing Azerbaijan as a major global cargo hub,” said Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, EVP Sales, Commercial Aircraft.
