SAS has been named both the world’s and Europe’s most punctual airline in Cirium’s April 2026 On-Time Performance rankings, achieving an on-time arrival rate of 89.53% during a challenging operational period for the industry.
The airline said the result reflects continued improvements in operational reliability, including tighter turnaround procedures, improved planning, and stronger coordination across departments. SAS also highlighted the achievement as particularly notable given ongoing disruptions linked to the Middle East situation and broader industry pressures.
April marked SAS’s second consecutive month at the top of Cirium’s global rankings and continued a strong recent performance trend, with multiple number-one punctuality rankings in Europe and worldwide over the past two years.
