Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will launch six new winter routes from its Copenhagen hub for the 2025/26 season, boosting total seat capacity by 40% and improving connectivity by 75%. The new destinations include Vienna, Tel Aviv, Marrakech, Madeira, Fuerteventura, and Kittilä, with frequencies ranging from once to six times weekly. All will be operated by fuel-efficient Airbus A320neo aircraft.
The expanded network enhances Copenhagen’s role as a key Northern European hub and strengthens SAS’s connectivity across Scandinavia and Europe. The schedule also integrates seamlessly with SAS’s existing hubs in Stockholm and Oslo and connects to regional cities like Gothenburg, Bergen, Billund, and Tallinn.
Key Route Highlights:
In addition, 22 popular seasonal summer routes—including Toronto, Seoul, Beirut, and Lisbon—will be retained for winter operations, offering year-round connectivity to both leisure and business destinations. Notably, SAS will remain the sole carrier offering nonstop service between Scandinavia and Canada this winter.
This network growth underscores SAS’s focus on high-efficiency operations, expanded leisure offerings, and strategic hub development as it prepares for an increasingly competitive winter travel market.
