SAS will launch three new long-haul routes from Copenhagen for the Winter 2026/27 season, adding Dubai World Central, Phuket and Krabi to its intercontinental network. The expansion responds to rising demand for travel to the Middle East and Asia while reinforcing Copenhagen’s role as a key global hub for Scandinavia and Northern Europe.
The return to Dubai marks SAS’s first service to the UAE since 2011, restoring direct access to a major global business and leisure destination. In Thailand, SAS will significantly boost capacity, becoming the only airline offering nonstop flights from Copenhagen to Phuket and Krabi, with Thailand seat capacity rising by more than 75% year-on-year.
The growth is supported by the addition of two Airbus A350s, driving a 34% increase in A350 operations and higher capacity across the long-haul network. SAS will also expand services to major destinations including Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, Seoul, Tokyo Haneda and Bangkok, underlining its broader long-haul expansion and ongoing operational turnaround.
