On 16 August, a Safarilink Dash 8 (5Y-SLM) operated a domestic (safari)-flight between Nairobi, Wilson and Maasai Mara (Kenya). During landing at the Kichwa Tembo Airstrip, the aircraft hit a couple of wildebeests that ran over the runway.
The airline confirmed the accident and said that none of the passengers and crew members got injured during the crash. The aircraft is disabled, another aircraft has been dispatched to bring in engineers and airline employees to further assess the situation.
