Ryanair has welcomed a ruling by the Toulouse Criminal Court convicting two unruly passengers whose behaviour forced a London Stansted–Ibiza flight to divert to Toulouse in May 2025. The disruption affected 184 passengers and six crew members after the pair became abusive and ignored crew instructions.
The court handed the passengers suspended sentences of up to 10 months and imposed combined penalties exceeding €10,000.
Ryanair said the case reinforces its zero-tolerance policy toward disruptive behaviour onboard and stressed that passenger misconduct can lead to serious legal and financial consequences.
