Ryanair flight RK3226 from Manchester bound for Torp Airport in Sandefjord (Boeing 737-800 reg. G-RUKJ) was forced to make an emergency landing at Landvetter Airport in Gothenburg due to faulty speedometers and low fuel levels.
Rescue services were on standby, but the landing went smoothly. Dense fog at Sandefjord also contributed to the diversion.
The 152 passengers were further transported by bus to Torp. The plane is still in Gothenburg at the time of writing.
There are currently no answers as to why the plane went to Gothenburg Landvetter instead of, for example, Oslo Gardermoen, which is closer to Sandefjord-Torp.
