Ryanair carried 22.2 million passengers in August 2026, an increase of 6% compared with 21 million in the same month last year.
The airline operated more than 120,500 flights during the month and maintained a load factor of 96%. More than 400 flights were cancelled because of eruptions at Mount Etna in Sicily.
Ryanair carried 214.4 million passengers over the rolling 12-month period, up 5% from 203.6 million a year earlier. The rolling load factor remained unchanged at 94%.
Despite the continued traffic growth, the airline has reduced its forecast for the financial year ending March 2027 from 216 million to 214 million passengers. Ryanair said the adjustment was intended to limit its exposure to higher, unhedged oil prices during the winter season.
