Ryanair has announced the opening of its fifth Moroccan base in Rabat from April 2026, supported by a US$200 million investment and the basing of two aircraft. The new base will operate 20 routes in total, including seven new international connections to major European cities, and will increase Rabat’s summer 2026 capacity by 45%.
The expansion is expected to support more than 800 local jobs, including 60 highly paid positions for pilots and cabin crew. Rabat becomes a key part of Ryanair’s record Summer 2026 programme in Morocco, which will span 13 airports and carry over 10.7 million passengers to, from and within the country.
With this move, Ryanair’s total investment in Morocco exceeds US$1.6 billion in aircraft, supporting more than 8,500 direct and indirect jobs nationwide. The airline positions the Rabat base as a boost to tourism, connectivity and economic growth, aligning with Morocco’s preparations for co-hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
