Ryanair launches new Brussels South Charleroi route to Catania via Milan Bergamo

Ryanair today (14 Sept) launched a new route from Brussels Charleroi to Catania, connecting via Milan Bergamo, as it extended its connecting flight services via Milan Bergamo to include 5 existing Brussels Charleroi routes to Athens, Brindisi, Lamezia, Naples and Palermo, providing Ryanair customers with even more low fare route choice and frequency.

Following the successful launch of connecting flights at Milan Bergamo last July, Ryanair now offers over 180 connecting route choices, and now from today, Ryanair’s Brussels customers and visitors can:

  • Book connecting flights on a new route to/from Catania
  • Choose from a greater range of flight times and days of the week with connecting flights to/from Athens, Brindisi, Lamezia, Naples and Palermo
  • Transfer ‘airside’ between connecting flights without having to go ‘landside’
  • Have their checked-in baggage transferred through to their final destination
  • Use one booking reference for both flights

This extended connecting service is the latest initiative delivered “Always Getting Better” programme.

Ryanair’s Helene Begasse said:

“Ryanair is pleased to extend our connecting flights service at Milan Bergamo Airport with a new Brussels Charleroi route to/from Catania and more connecting route options on existing routes to/from Athens, Brindisi, Lamezia, Naples and Palermo, offering our customers even more low fare choice. Starting today, Belgian customers and visitors flying on these 6 routes will be able to transfer onto their next flight at Milan Bergamo without having to go landside and will have their bags checked through to their final destination.

This expansion of our connecting flights service is the latest AGB enhancement as we continue our journey to becoming the ‘Amazon of travel’. In addition, Ryanair.com, the world’s largest travel website, which receives over 50m unique visitors every month, also sells long-haul Air Europa routes to North and South America, and Air Malta flights to 21 new routes and 8 different countries across Africa, Asia and Europe, including Russia and Tunisia.

To celebrate we are releasing seats from Brussels Charleroi from just €14.99 for travel from September to November, which are available for booking until midnight Monday (17 Sept). Since these amazing low fares will be snapped up quickly, customers should log onto www.ryanair.com and avoid missing out.”
