Ryanair has officially extended its Milan Bergamo–Rovaniemi service (FR4311-4312) into Summer 2025, offering twice-weekly flights and positioning itself as the only low-cost carrier to operate year-round service between Italy and Finnish Lapland. This move brings the magic of Rovaniemi—Santa Claus’s official hometown—within affordable reach during the warmer months.
The extension capitalises on increasing demand for off-season Arctic travel and supports Lapland’s growing appeal as a four-season destination. Highlights of summer in Rovaniemi include the midnight sun, expansive national parks, and family-friendly attractions such as the Santa Claus Village, which remains open all year.
“This is the first time we’re offering Milan–Rovaniemi for the summer season,” said Dara Brady, CMO of Ryanair. “With just two flights per week, travellers can now enjoy Lapland’s natural beauty and unique experiences under 24-hour daylight—at Europe’s lowest fares.”
To promote the route, Ryanair has launched a three-day seat sale, with fares starting at €29.99, available only on Ryanair.com.
Petri Vuori, SVP of Sales and Route Development at Finavia, added:
“Ryanair is a key airline partner for us, and we’re thrilled to see the Milan–Rovaniemi route continue through summer. The midnight sun and tranquil natural landscapes offer a magical experience unlike anywhere else in Europe.”
This strategic expansion strengthens Ryanair’s position in the Nordic market while enhancing Lapland’s visibility as a year-round tourist destination.
