Ryanair expands winter operations to Rovaniemi with record route offering

Share

Ryanair is making a major investment in Finnish Lapland by expanding its winter operations to Rovaniemi Airport with a record 10 routes and 62 weekly flights for the upcoming season. This marks the airline’s largest-ever winter schedule to Rovaniemi.

New winter routes will launch from:

  • Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester (UK)
  • Shannon (Ireland)

Returning routes include:

  • London Stansted (now daily), Liverpool, Dublin, Brussels Charleroi, Paris Beauvais, and Milan Bergamo

The expansion highlights Ryanair’s commitment to year-round tourism in Lapland, especially outside peak seasons. The Milan–Rovaniemi route remains year-round, operating twice weekly in summer and four times weekly in winter.

Finavia’s Senior VP, Petri Vuori, praised Ryanair’s role in boosting Lapland’s accessibility and supporting growing demand for Finnish winter tourism.
