Ryanair today (16 Aug) extended its connecting flights service at Milan Bergamo Airport, adding a further 25 routes including Hamburg, Porto, Bratislava, Budapest, Prague, Thessaloniki and Vilnius,  providing Ryanair customers with an expanded route choice of 50 connecting services in total, and the opportunity to book and transfer directly onto connecting Ryanair flights.

Following the successful launch of this service in July, Ryanair customers can now:

  • Book connecting flights on 50 routes (of up to 300 new routes) via Milan Bergamo on Ryanair.com
  • Transfer ‘airside’ between connecting flights without having to go ‘landside’
  • Have their checked-in baggage transferred through to their final destination
  • Use one booking reference for both flights
  • Travel to a wider range of destinations across Europe including:

This extended connecting flights service is the latest initiative delivered under Year 4 of Ryanair’s “Always Getting Better” programme, with more connections to be rolled out at other airports across the Ryanair network later this year.

Ryanair’s Chief Commercial Officer David O’Brien said:

Ryanair is pleased to extend our connecting flights service at Milan Bergamo Airport with another 25 routes added, including services to/from Hamburg, Porto, Bratislava, Budapest, Prague, Thessaloniki and Vilnius, offering our customers even more low fare choice with 50 connecting routes in total (potentially rising to 300). With 17 of these new routes connecting onto other Italian destinations we will continue to make regional Italy more accessible for European customers in advance of developing more direct routes to the regions in the coming years. Customers flying on these routes will be able to transfer onto their next flight at Milan Bergamo without having to go landside, and will have their bags checked through to their final destination.

This connecting flights service, delivered under Year 4 of our “Always Getting Better” programme, is now available on 50 Milan Bergamo routes, as well as 10 routes via Rome Fiumicino Airport and will be rolled out at other Ryanair airports throughout our network, with even more routes to be added in the coming weeks and months. In addition, Ryanair.com, the world’s most visited airline website, also sells 20 long haul Air Europa routes to North and South America.

To celebrate our extended connecting flights service, we are releasing seats for sale from just €14.99 for travel between September and November, which are available for booking until midnight Thursday (17 Aug). Since these amazing low fares will be snapped up quickly, customers should log onto www.ryanair.com and avoid missing out.”
