The low cost will open six new routes in Catalonia, which will add a total of 100 new routes between the three airports in which it operates in the region.

Ryanair has announced six new routes in Catalonia framed in its 2019 summer calendar. The new connections will link Barcelona with Gothenburg, Kiev and London Luton; Girona with Brussels (3x weekly); and Reus with Gdansk and London Southend,

In total, the next summer season, Ryanair, will offer a total of 100 routes in Catalonia with which it expects to transport 9.4 million passengers a year to and from the 3 airports where it operates in the region, 2% more than in this summer.

Last week, the airline announced that it was continuing its commitment to the Spanish market despite the decreasing figures recorded this summer. In fact, Kenny Jacobs, Director of Marketing of Ryanair, appealed to the tourism authorities of the country to protect tourism, maintaining low tourist costs, specifically accommodation, which is the most expensive. The executive commented in his visit to Madrid, that low-cost airlines such as Ryanair facilitate the movement of people with “reasonable prices“, and this philosophy “should be extended to other segments of tourism to attract customers“.
