Ryanair applauds jail sentence for unruly passenger, reinforces zero-tolerance policy

Share

Ryanair has welcomed a UK court ruling that sentenced a disruptive passenger to 10 months in prison following serious misconduct on a flight from Kraków to Bristol in November 2025.

The individual was convicted by Bristol Crown Court after pleading guilty to consuming duty-free alcohol, verbally abusing fellow passengers, and refusing to follow crew instructions on flight FR5518.

Ryanair emphasised that the case underscores the consequences of disruptive behaviour, which may include imprisonment, fines, and travel bans. The airline reiterated its strict zero-tolerance approach, aimed at ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for passengers and crew.

The carrier hopes the conviction will act as a deterrent, reinforcing expectations of appropriate conduct onboard and reducing incidents involving unruly passengers.
