According to website Pagtour.info Ryanair will open a new destination in Belgium, the Irish low-cost airline is planning a few weekly flights from Liège Airport. Apparently the negotiations have been going on for several months now.

Concerned about the consequences of the Brexit, Ryanair anticipates the possible move of U.K.-based aircraft to the European continent and expressed their wishes to different airports.

Liège Airport has made an offer that the Irish low-cost airline is considering, in the first phase the airline will schedule a few weekly flights. The possible destinations soon to be announced. Ryanair clearly intends to increase its presence on the Belgian market, Liège Airport has been trying for many years now to fill a terminal capable of easily handling more than a million passengers per year.

Both Ryanair and Liège Airport briefly commented to Aviation24.be on this news: “We are always interested in new routes, but we do not comment upon or engage in speculation,” Ryanair said. “We only comment on official announcements, not on negotiations and discussions. Nothing has been made official.” the airport replied.
